9/1/14...New! Free shipping on all our products except the Model 6000, which due to it's size, must ship by truck freight!
8/3/14...Where to begin...? First of all, some additions/changes; we now offer custom battery/DC cable construction. Everything from 6 Ga. to 4/0 Ga., featuring gas-tight connections swaged with 12 tons of pressure for superlative conductivity and corrosion resistance.
We have decided to discontinue the Model 4000, but we are in the final design stages of the new Model 6000. This 1,500 lb. machine is a self-contained unit built on a 4' X 6' trailer. Featuring a 6000 watt continuous duty, 18,000 watt surge for 20 seconds, true sine-wave inverter, and a 1.5 Kw solar panel array that is unfolded and deployed at the push of a button. It also will feature 12, 110 amp/hr AGM batteries, and an 80 amp Outback MPPT charge controller to extract every last joule of power from the panels! This machine puts out 120/240 volt split-phase power for well pumps and large motors for air compressors and such. This machine is targeted for use on remote job-sites and campsites, and can also provide whole-house power in a self-contained and easily moved machine. Email us at [email protected] for more information about this, or any of our other products and services.
6/24/14...I can't believe it has been almost 3 months since I updated this page. I really have to do a better job! In my defense, there has been a lot going on; we just finished moving into a larger facility, as the old shop was just too small. We have been blessed with exceptionally brisk sales of our Models 3000 and 175, and Faraday boxes. We have found a new US supplier for the special RF gasketing we use; thank you to E.B.* for setting it up! (Our former supplier has exhausted their stock and apparently can't get any more....go figure.)
We plan to add several more versions of our Faraday boxes in the near future, also we can make up custom sizes if necessary.
*As an aside, one of the most enjoyable, and unanticipated bonuses of this business is the privilege of meeting so many diverse and interesting people! There are a lot of very smart folks out there who really do "get it"; God bless them all, our country has never before been in such need of each and every one.
4/8/14...The Model 3000 has gone live here! The owner's manual can be downloaded here. I have also done some much needed website maintenance; the comparisons page has been updated, and some other outdated information has been updated.
3/30/14...Model 3000 testing is complete. The proprietary soft-start system developed by us has allowed the 3000 watt inverter in the Model 3000 to be able to start and run a 3/4 hp, 230 volt submersible well pump!
3/25/14...Construction of the first Model 3000 is nearly complete. Now begins the testing phase....
3/2/14...We have finalized the design and are beginning construction of the newest member of our family, the Model 3000-60 TSW! This model is designed to bridge the gap between our 2000 watt Model 2500 series, and the huge (and expensive!) Model 4000 TSW. Featuring 4, 110 amp/hr batteries and a 3000/6000 watt surge Samlex heavy-duty Industrial inverter, it uses the same 60 amp MPPT solar charge controller as our proven Model 2505-60 TSW. It also features an upgraded 20 amp heavy-duty AC charger. With a weight coming in at around 350 lbs (The Model 4000 weighs 800+lbs!), we have decided to mount this unit on a 4 wheeled heavy-duty utility-type cart because we figured that trying to wheel around that much mass with a two-wheeled hand truck was just an injury waiting to happen. It will use the same portable solar panel assemblies we already sell, and like the Model 2505-60, will handle at least 2 of our 300 watt panel assemblies. Another option is the addition of an external transformer that will convert the Model 3000's 120 volt output into the 240 volt, split-phase power need to run deep well submersible pumps!
2/15/14...Things are really starting to get busy again! We are getting lots of emails. If I don't get right back to you, I apologize; it takes time to reply to so many emails, but I really try to reply within 12 hours. If you don't hear anything in a reasonable time, please feel free to rattle my cage with another email or a phone call at (207)399-5116
2/3/14...The Model 145 has been renamed to the Model 175, and is now available here: The Model 175
1/13/14...A third new model will be added to the line-up soon; this will be our no-frills budget model, the Model 145. It will use the same 30 watt solar panels as the Model 150, and be enclosed in a heavy-duty industrial grade plastic case. Note that this model is not EMP protected.
1/6/14...Finally got around to adding the Model 300 AUX page.
1/4/14...The new year is off to a good start...we added 2 new models to the catalog; the Model 150, and the Model 2505-60 TSW
12/26/13...Wow! It's been over a month since I updated this page; tempus fugit! Anyhow, our first year is drawing to a close, nearly time to do the books for the taxman's bite. It has been a fantastic time for me, thanks to all of you. I really appreciate how well our products have been received, that's for sure!
11/21/13...The past week has been intense! I have been working 18 hour days, and have pretty much decided to add yet another person or three to the payroll, as soon as I get some time to go through the interview process. Despite that, we will be adding two more models of solar generators to the catalog within the next week or so, and these are a deviation from the norm here, as they are smaller, compact units, designed at numerous requests for something lighter and less expensive than our larger units. The Model 150 and the Model 400 are contained in an EMP protected aluminum box with a carry handle. Each of them weigh less than 30 lbs, and use 30 watt solar panels, but otherwise are very similar to our larger units. Email us at
[email protected] for more information.
11/7/13...UPS shipping rates have changed, and we've had to go back and adjust the shipping charges. We just cannot afford to absorb the difference. If you email us before you order at
[email protected] , and supply your address, we can give you a more accurate shipping quote, but fear not, if the shipping comes to less than you paid, we will refund the difference when your order ships! We do not seek to profit on shipping costs...never have, never will.
10/26/13...Our Model 800 solar generator will be discontinued as a regular stock item. Once the existing stock has been sold, it will join the Model 4000 as a custom order item. The cost is unchanged.
10/19/13...We are currently finalizing design for another new addition to our line-up, and this one is a beast! Our Model 4000 TSW ships with 1000 watts (4, 250 watt) solar panels, contains a 1080 amp/hr battery bank (12,960 watt/hrs), and a premium, commercial/industrial-grade, true sine-wave Magnum inverter! This inverter is conservatively rated at 4000 watts continuous output, AND puts out 240 volts, in addition to 120 volts! Also includes a 1440 watt solar charge controller. All this raw power in an easily portable, EMP-protected unit. Email us for more information at: [email protected]
10/18/13...It took 2 weeks longer than I anticipated to get all the bugs worked out, but we are proud to officially offer for sale the Model 300 AUX. It contains an additional 300 amp/hrs of battery capacity, and a 50 amp charge controller. Note that this unit does not contain an inverter, but is designed as an addition to any of our larger generators, like the Models 1500 TSW, the Model 2500 MSW, and the Model 2505 TSW. This unit looks identical on the outside to the Models 2500 and 2505, and connects to any of the above models by a single cable, and more than doubles the capacity. Paired with the Model 2500 or 2505, it brings the total battery bank capacity to a whopping 510 amp/hrs, and expands the total solar panel capacity to 900 watts!

10/17/13...Finally got some time to get started on the comparisons page....check it out!
10/15/13...We no longer have to ship our generators by the very, very expensive truck freight! Our units were already modular in construction, and now we have changed the design such that the heaviest parts of the generators, the batteries, can be shipped separately, and simply plugged in by the owner, all without tools! The system is designed and built in such a way that it is very nearly impossible to hook up anything wrong! The cost savings are huge! For example, We recently shipped a Model 1500 TSW to a customer in Arizona, and the freight charge was a whopping $641 !!! Shipping the larger and heavier Model 2500 in multiple cartons to the same address would have been only $241 by UPS Ground! It will take me a few days to calculate new shipping costs, but they should be less than half what is currently listed. Please email us at [email protected] for accurate shipping costs before you place an order! (We will, of course, refund any over-charges for anyone who orders before we get the price buttons changed.)
Model 2505 battery arrangement
10/12/13...All pending orders have been shipped out! We are caught up as of today, and will be able to start building up an inventory so as to be able to ship out future orders within 24 hours. We have on hand 2 Model 2500s and 1 Model 800. More on the way! We received a large order of solar panels that had been backordered, so now we can get some panel assemblies made up ahead of time.
10/7/13...There has been a 3 day delay in a shipment of solar panels, so the 300 watt solar panel assemblies that have been ordered since 10/2 will not go out until early next week. We apologize for the delay.
10/6/13...As everyone knows, truck freight rates are very expensive! We have been scratching our heads here trying to figure out a way to cut shipping costs by shipping UPS Ground, but because these generators are so heavy, the only way to bring the parcel weight down to 150 lbs. (UPS maximum weight), is to remove the batteries and ship them in separate parcels, but this means that the customer has to install and wire the batteries, which can be potentially a dangerous situation. (Inadvertent shorts can be quite spectacular! {Don't ask me how I know!}). However, I think we have a solution....we'll keep you posted on further developments!
